One of the projects I wanted to start tinkering on in my free time in 2018 was running my tenor through some effects. I got three pedals: delay, fuzz, and a harmonizer. Per Ben Wendel’s (Kneebody) recommendation, starting with just a few pedals is the way to go. I’m beginning to get the hang of the controls–the next step will be to get a looper and a volume pedal. I’m using a third party SM57 with quarter-inch jack and a Crate keyboard amp. All of the pedals are direct bypass; each is using its own power source.
