Centennial – September 2020
José Antonio Zayas Cabán
Recorded over the course of a three years, José Antonio Zayas Cabán’s project “Centennial” reflects on the 19th Amendment of women’s suffrage on its 100-year anniversary. The album features many musicians including José Antonio Zayas Cabán on multiple saxophones, Casy Rafn (piano), Ryan Smith (tenor saxophone), Shelley Washington (bari saxophone), and Joel Gordon (tenor saxophone). Much of the album was recorded at the University of Iowa and released on the Navona Records label.

Along Those Lines – June 2017
The Matt Cook Collective
Recorded in January 2017, “Along Those Lines” is the Kansas City-based Matt Cook Collective’s first full-length album. The album features Matt Cook (tenor), Joel Gordon (alto & flute), Matthew Clinkenbeard (guitar), Nick Brown (bass), Nate McDonald (drums), and Tommy Johnson Jr. (trumpet) as a guest on one track. “Along Those Lines” includes compositions by Matt Cook, Matthew Clinkenbeard, and Joel Gordon. The album was recorded in Westend Recording Studios in Kansas City, KS and released on the Radio Therapy Records label.

2016 Tour EP – August 2016
The Matt Cook Collective
Recorded in December 2015 and March 2016, “2016 Tour EP” was a result of the Matt Cook Collective’s first major Midwest tour. The album features Matt Cook (tenor and trumpet), Joel Gordon (alto and soprano), Derek Pyle (trombone), Matthew Clinkenbeard (guitar and sitar), Peter Eddins (keyboards), Nick Brown (bass), and Nate McDonald (drums). The EP includes compositions by Matt Cook, Matthew Clinkenbeard, and Joel Gordon. Half of the album was recorded in Westend Recording Studios in Kansas City, KS. The other half was recorded live at Homer’s Coffee House in Overland Park, Kansas. “2016 Tour EP” was released independently.
