I got to meet with Chris Burnett a few weeks ago to discuss KC Area Youth Jazz. Chris has been a long-time player, composer, and educator in the KC scene. He is starting his own venture geared toward rising-star high school jazz musicians. The program will offer students the opportunity to be coached by professional players, record a studio album, and to play gigs around the metro.
